She highlighted his one desire's to share our experiences by giving us support and love. Jesus never leaves us alone. He is always by our side. This is a message every child and adult should hear. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:18-19) Now this is a verse of scripture that I meditate on almost every day! The reason I’m doing it for myself is because this is the area where I most need to experience the reality of God, that he actually does love me. One of my big problems that I’ve always had to overcome, and I find that many men try to overcome, is that I just have a hard time believing that God really cares about me personally! So by meditating on this one verse and a few others like it, God has really changed my heart and I think that I am actually experiencing the love that’s being discussed in this text and I want you to know more about it as well.

I found this book hard to categorise at first. The cover and illustrations seem like a child’s book but some of the scenarios that Jesus helps us through were above the understanding of a child (for example: asking someone on a date, getting that first job). After reading through the book a few times I can see it would be perfect for adults new to Christian teachings or troubled adolescents that have turned away from Jesus and need support and reassurance to reconnect with their faith. I don’t think they redeem the book, but I do think they’re worth mentioning: (1) the book “admits” that God disciplines us and correctly likens His discipline to the discipline of loving parents and (2) the book mentions the choice to raise a christian family as the only “eternal milestone.”

Jesus came to show us that He desires relationship. He longs for us to receive His unconditional love. He took our guilt and shame on the cross and daily provides us grace, mercy, and do-overs! Jesus came to serve us and be sacrificed for our foolishness. He wants us to feel and experience this kind of love. We can love like Jesus when we receive His amazing love. God is more powerful than anything in heaven or on earth. When you accept Jesus’ invitation to begin a relationship with God, you are secure in His love forever. There is nothing powerful enough to separate you from God’s love. Even when things are difficult or you feel far from God, it’s not because God stops loving you. The truth is that God will never stop loving you, no matter what you do. When we think of the ways God shows his love, we often think only of spiritual things—things like forgiveness, grace, and peace. A friend of mine once wrote a blog post about what is - in her opinion - the “hardest thing” that can happen to a Believer in Christ. That thing is that he or she wastes their whole life full of gifts, talents and potential and only realizes it when it’s too late. They waste it by pursuing earthly accomplishments and successes. I fear that may have been the story of the man in this book.Jesus Loves You by Christine Topjian is a religious children’s book. It follows an unnamed male character from when they are a child until they are an adult. Through pictures and words, this book aims to teach children that no matter what they do, Jesus always loves them. The [visible] heaven was opened.
