About this deal

It's the time of year where our recycling bags become just that little bit plumper than normal. Shopping for Christmas presents is wonderful but tends to result in one or two more carboard boxes hanging around our homes than we would like. So why not use them in your crafting? We have a lovely, little idea for you today made from the box that our Emily Doll's Pram comes in - a very festive Christmas post box! It's mostly made out supplies that you will likely already have in your home. Your little one can write and post their Christmas wish list, followed by hours of role play fun. It seems that Boggins, the only elf with little to do in the run up to Christmas, might be able to help. Yet his suggestion is not that which Santa considers Amy would be happy to discover. Thereafter, might Mr Polar Bear arrive at a GIANT gift for Amy? Or could it be that an emergency meeting of the reindeer, interrupted from flight practice, could decide on Amy’s perfect gift? Firstly, choose which is going to be the front of your post box and draw on a small rectangle to post the letters into and a larger rectangle to make a door. Welcome to a colourful world of beautiful cards and unique stamps and gifts! Our cozy atmosphere invites you to sit down and write your greetings from the Arctic Circle to your friends all over the world. The cheerful Postal Elves will post your greetings for you, whether it’s Christmas or the middle of summer! All post will be stamped with the special Arctic Circle postmark. We are a full-service post office, so you can also leave your parcels and other mail with us to be delivered to its destination! By the way, there’s a secret behind the red post box: all letters dropped here will be held and sent for Christmas!

YOUR OWN GREAT LITTLE CHRISTMAS POST BOX MAKE YOUR OWN GREAT LITTLE CHRISTMAS POST BOX

The act of giving at Christmas originates from the Christian story of Jesus being born and the Three Kings who gave gold, frankincense and myrrh. This Christmas, the magic of the beloved story will land at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, with a sculpture trail, ‘Walking with The Snowman’ that plays homage to the animation and the original picture book by the late Raymond Briggs making its debut in Northern Ireland. Looking for some fun facts to tell your students or share in your Royal Mail Christmas post? Don't worry, we have lots of fun facts here! For example, did you know? Families and visitors will be able to discover 12 decorated Snowman sculptures throughout the 100-acre gardens, in a partnership with Wild in Art and Penguin Random House Children’s. Hillsborough Castle and Gardens will host the festive trail from Saturday 18 November, encouraging visitors to find the individually painted sculptures - designed by various artists and inspired by the carol, ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. Then, using your craft knife, cut out the small rectangle and only three sides of the larger rectangle leaving one of the tall sides uncut. Bend the door open along the uncut side.
