About this deal

So if you’re limited to a 4G signal and don’t want wired broadband, then the Huawei B535 is a top choice. High Speed WiFi and 4G LTE connectivity along with ethernet connections give you multiple ways to connect.

As such, the WebBox won’t look out of place in most homes, and at 219 x 130 x 15mm it won’t take up too much space either. Meaning it can provide a smooth and stable Wi-Fi experience without the hassle of manually having to select the best signal. The B535 (including the -333 that I have) does, allegedly, support CLAT — but in IPv6-only mode, not v4/v6 dual stack (and obviously not IPv4-only). It’s worth noting that you’ll still get better performance from a 5G router such as the 5G version of the Vodafone GigaCube, but that depends on you having 5G coverage, and often costs most. Given that the USG is connecting to 4G via the Huawei B535, are you sure that the USG actually needs to support 464XLAT? Also you could try and create a New APN Profile and set as default rather than edit the existing one. With two built-in high gain 4G antennas and two external antennas interface, the Wi-Fi signal stability and strength are improved.

But if I was using a Openwrt device like a ZTE mf286d I could install 464xlat and use it as a configuration. The Three 5G Hub meanwhile has them all massively beat for speed – but again, you need 5G coverage to take advantage of that. This was doing exactly as you do with the Chateau: an APN with everywhere/eesecure/secure (and PAP authentication).Instead you could test your router with a 4G SIM card from a different network provider that may have a closer 4G basestation and provide a stronger 4G network signal and/or download speed. I just discovered this forum and it looks like it may be a good place to ask for help (although I fear the answer may be that what I'm trying to do is not possible). Surf on the high-speed 4G network and share high-speed internet effortlessly on all your home devices. Powered by Huawei” The B535 ensures you always have the fastest possible network, with the latest network technologies (AC-WLAN wireless LAN and CAT7 + mobile network connection) you surf at high speeds either wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable.

Luckily clove sell this with bridge mode enabled, which is, according to Huawei, the resellers decision. I have tried *many* things, including putting the B535 into bridge mode and (separately) trying an APN profile that specifies IPv4 only. However, If the router is installed in a location with very poor or no 4G signal, it may only achieve very slow speeds around 5Mbit/s, or even no connect at all. And this simple setup also means you can take the Huawei B535 with you if you move house, or even potentially if you’re just away for a day or two – as long as there’s a mains socket and Three’s mobile network, you can blanket any area in Wi-Fi. I would hazard a guess that in dual stack mode, it assumes that, because there should be a v4 connection, CLAT is not necessary. I also thought about reinstalling the PAYG sim, noting all the settings then using those for the contract sim. But if you have 5G coverage at home then we’d advise you to spend a little more on the Three 5G Hub, as you’ll get much higher speeds from it.
