Awareness-raising campaigns aimed at raising public awareness are urgent, especially with regard to children and the need to raise them in a family environment of happiness, love and understanding, and to raise them in the spirit of ideals proclaimed in the Charter of the United Nations, especially in the spirit of peace, dignity, tolerance, freedom, equality and fraternity. Physical and mental maturity, requires preventive measures and special care Parents must have knowledge about everything related to the child, because the family is the first social world facing the child, and the family has a big role in socialization. Parents’ lectures and awareness sessions were one of the activities carried out by FUAD in the project of psychosocial support for conflict-affected children and adolescents in Kirkuk in the first half of 2019. In partnership with UNICEF, the sessions included mothers and fathers in Camp Displaced persons, ( Lailan 1, Hawija district and Kirkuk city center. The number of beneficiaries was 648 ) women and men . The sessions included topics related to children and are monitored by social researchers ( such as child protection, child rights, child labor, underage marriage, school dropouts, child abuse, exploitation, neglect, public awareness .
